Event Stewards
Optimum Protection Services Ltd are constantly looking to recruit to our team Event Stewards, to join us you should be motivated, presentable people with good communication and people skills, you should also be able to follow instructions and work well within a team.
Event Stewards are the life blood of any event and as such play a vital role in ensuring the Health and Safety of clients, their customers, and also their staff, you will also in most cases be the first person that members of the public or guests will see, this means that you represent not only our company but also our clients, in addition you will also be the eyes and ears of the team able to report any potential problems to the security team and other agencies for further investigation.
As a Event Steward working for Optimum Protection Services Ltd you may be required to work at many different kinds of events and venues both indoors and outside, these events may include youth events, sport events, pop concerts, street parades for many different clients such as local authorities, sports grounds, railway stations to private promoters or event organisers.
This position is predominately a customer service role where you will have to meet and greet clients, members of the public and their customers, give directions, tear tickets, show people to their seats, monitor and direct crowds and also answer any queries about the events, the site and or the local area.
The probationary pay rate for a Event Steward start from £5.75 per /hour (minimum shift time of 5 hours) all positions are offered on a part time/ casual basis!
KEY CRITERIA FOR THIS POSITION
- Stewarding Staff can be male or female
- Will ideally be between 18 and 65 years old and in good health
- All operatives must have a 10-year checkable work or school history and a date of leaving full time education
- Remain in regular contact with the company
- Must have good command of the English language both spoken and written
- Operatives must be willing and able to travel in London and surrounding areas
- Must be willing to work a minimum of 5 hour shifts (some unsociable hours)
- Operatives should be prepared to work on assignment both indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Operatives must be prepared to work flexible alternating hours and shifts
- Be prepared to work within places of entertainment and licensed premises
- With the assistance and support of the company be prepared to gain / achieve a NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Spectator Awareness (funding is available)
- Be prepared to maintain a good level of personal and professional development
